I am joined by Vincent Mann, Senior Digital Marketing Specialist of Walther Arms. It has been a minute since Vincent was last on with us. So we catch up with him about his new position at Walther and I share with Vincent the details of my mobile podcast office in the Coachmen Beyond Class B Van #vanlife. We also talk about the Walther PDP Color Option launch at Shot Show 2022. For the first time since the debut of the Walther flagship model, the PDP, Walther announced that there will be PDPs offered in new color options. The three frame color options are Green, Gray & Tan. I learn something new about the history of Walther Arms and of course we’ve got #gorn including a rare Walther G22.

Vincent : “The things that Walther Arms has done for the firearms industry are still being used in firearms today. I’m going to keep it brief but My favorite little caveat to the history of Walther is that obviously the little gun that Booth (John Wilkes Booth) used to kill Lincoln was a conceal carry firearm. But the true purpose built conceal carry firearm was the Walther PPK “PPK” is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kriminal (literally “police pistol criminal”)

Hank: “Oh, is that what that means .. I never even new what that meant”

Vincent: “Yeah, which was invented for under cover law enforcement to be able to carry a firearm without having a gigantic thing out… something reliable with enough stopping power that kind of stuff. I think somewhere on our website we use the term “we invented conceal carry” because if you really want to split hairs we kinda did… we’re kind of a big deal Hank!”

Clearly, Walther Arms has a rich history and story after all, it has been in business since 1886 when it was founded by Carl Walther and has continued to manufacture firearms and air guns at its factory in Germany for more than 100 years.
